The Certified Data Vault Data Modeller (CDVDM) Course 2026 is a three‑day intensive program offered by Genesee Academy that trains professionals in the principles and practices of Data Vault modelling. It focuses on ensemble modelling patterns, the Ensemble Logical Model (ELM), and the application of Data Vault techniques to enterprise data integration and warehousing initiatives.
Exam Structure
Language: The exam is written in English. Grammar and spelling are not graded; the assessment focuses solely on ideas, concepts, and modelling ability.
Format: The exam is conducted entirely online and consists of:
Two theoretical parts – testing conceptual understanding of Data Vault constructs, ensemble modelling, historization, and enterprise integration principles.
Two modelling parts – requiring practical application of Data Vault modelling techniques in case scenarios.
Duration: The exam, including the preparation session, lasts up to 3 hours.
Certification Outcome
Successful completion and purchase of the plan entitles the recipient to the designation of Certified Data Vault Data Modeller (CDVDM).
This credential validates mastery of Data Vault modelling patterns, ensemble approaches, historization, and enterprise data integration practices.
It demonstrates readiness to design agile, auditable, and scalable data solutions across diverse architectures
(traditional, big data, streaming, distributed ledger, mesh, and cloud).
